After Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked on the sets of Padmavati in Jaipur, the film’s sets were wrecked and set on fire in Kolhapur. The attack was made on Tuesday at 10.30 pm. Animals present in the sets of Padmavati were also set on fire.

About 40 to 50 people reached the sets of the film, vandalising the space by pelting stones and lathis.

Some cars parked around the place were also destroyed.  Few persons have also been arrested reportedly. Bhansali had to shift the location after his previous set was vandalised in Jaipur.

Some orthodox Rajputs have opposed that the film has a dream sequence where Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji will be seen in an intimate position. Bhansali and his production denied and said that no such scene exists.
