In yet another incident where the mob took the law in their hands for seeking justice, a car driver was beaten to death after his vehicle ran over children who were sleeping on the footpath in Bihar’s Agam Kuan area on Tuesday night. While three children died on the spot, another one got injured.
As per the reports, there were two people in the car. After the incident, the driver tried to escape but the car collided with a pole. The driver was caught and beaten to death by the mob while the other passenger of the car was severely injured and is in serious condition.
The injured were admitted to the NMCH hospital.The mob burned the tires and blocked the road. Heavy police force has been deployed at the spot to control the situation.

The police told reporters that they have not yet identified the owner of the vehicle and do not have any more details about the car. They added that they have also not yet unearthed the reason behind the accident. However, locals alleged that the driver of the SUV was driving under the influence of alcohol.
An investigation into the incident is underway, said the police.
