In Goa‘s Calangute, police have arrested a drug trafficker during a raid on Saturday night.
The police recovered cannabis with a worth of Rs 60,000 from the possession of a 21-year-old, Elias. Elias reportedly belongs from Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal.
According to Jivba Dalvi, Police Inspector from Calangute Police Station, the accused was nabbed after the Police Station received information from reliable sources. The sources had said the police that Elias would come at the area with drugs in order to make a delivery to prospective customers after which the Detectives dressed in plain clothes nabbed the accused.
The accused was registered under the sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
