BJP Leads on 22 Seats, Congress-NCP 14, Lok Sangram And Shiv Sena 2 Each

The BJP is leading on 22 out of 74 seats of Dhule municipal corporation, while the Congress-NCP alliance is ahead on 14 seats. Shiv Sena and Anil Gote’s Lok Sangram are leading on two seats each.



The counting of votes for two municipal corporations – Ahmednagar and Dhule – in Maharashtra has begun on Monday. Polling for 74-member Dhule and 68-member Ahmednagar civic corporations were conducted on Sunday morning.

In the civic body elections, both these prominent cities of north Maharashtra have a combined voter population of nearly eight lakh. While Dhule has 4.46 lakh voters, there are 3.46 lakh voters in Ahmednagar.

Polling was held for 68 seats in 17 wards of the Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation and for 73 seats in Dhule as the election for one seat here was unanimous hence voting was not held.
