An elderly man of Ambala in Punjab has been given 20-years of imprisonment for raping his granddaughter. Additional District and Sessions Judge Yashwinder Paul Singh has sentenced 70-year-old Mahinder 20 years of imprisonment for raping his minor granddaughter.
Victim’s parents had died earlier and she along with her four sisters were living with their grandfather. Two of her sisters are married.
According to media reports, the minor was at home alone when she was raped. The survivor disclosed everything before her sisters, who then filed a complaint against their grandfather.
