Rahul Gandhi’s Dinner Date with Lalu Yadav Reveals ‘Secret Recipe’: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi released a video of his dinner meeting with Lalu Prasad Yadav at the home of Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Misa Bharti last month on Saturday, in which he can be seen sampling the RJD chief’s brain about politics and learning culinary skills from him.

“I always find Laluji to be very astute, and I respect his political acumen,” the Congress leader said in the more than seven-minute-long video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the video, he is also seen learning the recipe for “Champaran mutton” preparation from Lalu Prasad, with Bharti joining them in the cooking session.

Gandhi and Prasad also discussed politics and exchanged opinions regarding the “spread of hatred.”

During their conversation, the Congress leader asks the RJD supremo what advice he would give to him and other next-generation politicians. Prasad responds, “My advice is that your parents and grandparents showed the country a new path and kept it on the righteous path; you should never forget that.”

Gandhi stated, “Interesting conversation with popular leader, Laluji, regarding his secret recipe and ‘political spice’.”

Gandhi wrote in Hindi, in reference to the opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance alliance, that “INDIA’s vision for the poor, underprivileged, minorities, and women is one of equality, progress, and empowerment.”

Gandhi questions Prasad in the video what he considers to be “political masala” To this, the RJD’s leader responds, “Political masala is struggle and fighting injustice.”

Gandhi, when asked if he can cook, responds that he is not an expert but can cook. In the video, he can be heard stating, “When I worked in Europe, I had to learn how to cook.”

Gandhi also asks Prasad about the governing BJP’s alleged promotion of hatred, to which the RJD leader responds that the saffron party’s political appetite is never sated. “When the economic situation improves, this (hate speech) occurs less, and when it worsens, it occurs more. “The current economic climate is poor, so this is on the rise,” he says.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who was also present at the dinner, asserts that the BJP “engages in such propaganda, poisons people, and brainwashes them.”

Gandhi also questions Prasad whether the ultimate goal of the BJP is to “steal from the poor.” Prasad responds, “Their objective is to torch the homes of the impoverished, destroying their wealth and homes. They desire to have persons in their grasp.” The leaders also discuss eradicating enmity and establishing “open mohabbat ki dukan.”

The Congressman also packs a portion of the dish for his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. At the conclusion of the video, Priyanka Gandhi can be seen enjoying the dish.
