Rajasthan police arrested six people on Sunday for faking their identity in Lower Division Clerk examinations. The detained are accused of writing the exams with a different identity. The arrest was made after the examiner informed the Superintendents of the exam center that the signatures and the photographs of the candidates are not matching.

When the Superintendent too found the signature and the photographs not matching with the one in examination documents, he complained to the police. Police reached the examination centre to interrogate the matter and discovered that they were writing tests on behalf of some other candidates.

“Ritesh Swarnkar and Sudhanshu Choudhary, both aged 23, were caught taking the exams in place of Santosh Meena and Virendra Meena,” said Bundi Superintendent of Police Om Prakesh.

The other accused arrested were identified as Akhilesh Meena (20), Dharmendra Meena (23) and Hem Singh Meena. Seventh accused in the Santosh Meena is absconding and efforts are underway to nab him, DSP Samandar Singh Champawat said. Further investigation into the matter is underway, he added.
