Rajkumar Hirani spotted with Atul Agnihotri, post MeToo allegations

In Bollywood, the Me Too Movement began a year later than Hollywood. But when it did start, many prominent names from the film industry came out which left everyone shell shocked. Be it actors, producers, directors or more, many were accused of taking advantage of women colleagues and asking for sexual favours in exchange for work. Among them, the most shocking name was of Sanju’s director, Rajkumar Hirani.

Hirani was accused of sexual misconduct by Sanju’s assistant director a few months back, and since then, he wasn’t seen much publicly.

The AD had sent an email back then to Vidhu Vinod Chopra putting forth her ordeal. Chopra initiated an investigation and also in the meantime, took off Rajkumar Hirani’s name from his film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Post all this, Rajkumar Hirani was away from the public eye. However, today, for the first time after the #MeToo allegations, Hirani was spotted with Bharat’s producer Atul Agnihotri.

Atul took to social media to share a photo with the producer-director Rajkumar Hirani while sitting on a plane. The two were seen posing for the camera while they were on their way to Delhi. Atul captioned the photo as, “Enroute Delhi @hirani.rajkumar”

Actors who have worked with Rajkumar Hirani like Arshad Warsi spoke to the media and expressed their shock and disbelief about such allegations against the Munna Bhai director. The Me Too movement in India surely brought out many names which included Rajkumar Hirani, Nana Patekar, Kailash Kher, Sajid Khan, Anu Malik, Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath and more. Most of them have been ousted by the industry folks pending investigations about the sexual misconduct allegations.
