Religious Harmony! Muslim families continue to make Chhath Puja items since 100 years

Mahaparva Chhath (Chhath) of folk faith is the biggest festival of Bihar. All kinds of materials are used in this and they are made by people of every section of society. Arth ka path is an important material in Chhath Puja. You will be surprised to know that most Muslim families discovered it.

Many Muslim families of a village in Chhapra have been engaged in making Arth Path for Chhath Pujan for the last 100 years. Arth Path used in Chhath Puja is one of the important worship materials for Chhath, but few people will know that most of the people who make it belong to Muslim families. Arth Path is produced on a large scale in Jhanwa village of Chhapra and from here it goes to Bihar as well as many other districts of the country.

Arghya is given from the material made by Muslims

Shamim Ahmad, a resident of this village, says that his family has been engaged in this work for the last several generations and the women of his family all together make Arth Path. Chhath is a festival in which the cooperation of people of all religions is seen. Now take only Shamim Bhai of Jhowan village. His family has been engaged in making Arth Path for the last 100 years. The role of these families is very important in the most important festival of Hindus.

Arth Path also goes abroad

A large population of small village Jhunwa is engaged in this work throughout the year. Although the material is also used in many other worship works, during Chhath, the consumption of Arata Pata increases considerably, due to which it is produced on a large scale at this time and Arata Path which is made from here is also sent to aborad.

The example of unity is seen in the construction of Arata Path because Shamim Ahmed and Majsoon Khatoon are just one example. Hundreds of Muslim families here are engaged in this work throughout the year.

The life of Arth Path makers is very difficult

Jhanwa village is located about 30 km from the district headquarters of Chhapra, where the movement of the traders increases with the arrival of Chhath. Businessman Anil says that people of other districts also reach Jhanwa village to buy the Aarta Pat built here and the people here also get financial benefits. But, there is also a black truth associated with this industry which makes the lives of the people here very difficult. Arth Path, made from Akvan’s cotton wool, is increasing respiratory diseases among people here. TB patients are the most found in this village.
