The year 2016 was about Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift against third part of adult comedy film Kya kool hai hum 3. While airlift collected 128.10 crores, Kya kool hai hum 3 had to manage with Rs 30.25 crore only. Akshay Kumar starrer clearly won the competition.

Republic day 2015 saw Akshay Kumar starrer Baby which was a patriotic film against a comedy film Dolly Ki Doli. The patriotic theme helped the movie to earn Rs 95.56 crore while Sonam Kapoor starrer Dolly Ki Doli suffered and collected only Rs 19.26 Crore.
