On Wednesday evening, sacked AAP leader Kapil Mishra, who has been in controversies for accusing party chief Arvind Kejriwal of corruption, has been attacked at the site of his hunger strike in the national capital. The attacker has been identified as Ankit Bhardwaj, who is allegedly from the BJP, claims AAP.

It is to be noted that Mishra started his hunger strike earlier today seeking the details of foreign trips made by five top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. Mishra was seen sitting under a tent pitched at his residence in Delhi’s Civil Lines, with a garlanded photograph of Mahatma Gandhi behind him, calling his protest a satyagrah or peaceful agitation against corruption.

Mishra was sacked earlier this week by AAP after he accused CM Kejriwal of corruption. He has written a letter to Arvind Kejriwal, naming the five leaders including Satyendar Jain and senior leaders Ashish Khetan and Sanjay Singh – whose trips he wants investigated.

“I have just requested that details of the foreign travel in the last two years of 5 people be made public… This will clear all things… I don’t want a big thing, this is just a small thing,” Mr Mishra wrote.

Swearing to survive on water only, he said, “Some people say that all allegations about money laundering and donations will be settled if these details are revealed…You have said the party doesn’t have money to fight elections…Show where all the money for foreign trips comes from and prove me wrong”.

Mishra also asserted that once the details are revealed the Chief Minister will be ‘forced to resign’. Adding further to the controversy, Mishra also alleged that he received a phone call from abroad threatening to ‘shoot’ him.
