Saphala Ekadashi is being celebrated as the last Ekadashi of the year i.e. 30th December and this fast comes every year on the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Paush month.

There is a law to worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on this day. As its name suggests, this fast is going to bring success in all the works.

With the fasting of this Ekadashi, all the wishes are fulfilled and success is achieved in every work.

This fast is counted as the best among all Ekadashis because this fast removes all the troubles and sorrows of human beings.

Significance of Saphala Ekadashi Vrat:

Special importance of Saphala Ekadashi has been mentioned in the scriptures and Puranas. By observing this fast, happiness and prosperity comes in the life of a person and one gets virtuous results equal to the penance of thousands of years.

It has been said in the Padma Purana that Lord Krishna said on the request of Yudhishthira that I do not get as much satisfaction from the big sacrifices as the rituals of Ekadashi fasting.

Saphala Ekadashi is considered to bestow welfare and good fortune and on this day, worshiping with a sincere heart leads to the attainment of Baikunth Dham.

It is believed that due to the effect of this fast, happiness and peace remains in the family and negativity ends.

Saphala Ekadashi Vrat Shubh Muhurt:

Saphala Ekadashi fast day: Thursday

Beginning of Ekadashi date: from 04:12 pm on Wednesday, 29th December

Ekadashi date ends: 30th December, Thursday till 01.40 pm

Parana Muhurta of Saphala Ekadashi Vrat: On Friday, December 31, till 10 am

Saphala Ekadashi Vrat Vidhi:

On the day of Saphala Ekadashi, after getting up in the Brahma Muhurta, clean and take a bath etc., meditate with the mantra of Lord Vishnu and take the vow of fasting.

For worship, install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi by laying red cloth on the post. After this, sprinkle the Ganges water with the picture all around.

Establish a Ghat for worship and light a lamp of desi ghee and offer flowers. Offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu.

Perform the aarti of God with incense and lamp and then recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Kanakdhara Stotra.

At the time of Lord Vishnu and Find indulgence made everything from milk to Goddess Lakshmi and evening worship again.

After worshiping God, you must also do Tulsi Puja and donate. Then break the fast on the next day with only vegetarian food to eat during the fasting day.

Do’s and don’ts on the day of Saphala Ekadashi:

  • Those who keep fast on Ekadashi, they should always follow good conduct. The person. Observing the fast should meditate on Lord Vishnu in his mind from the day of Dashami.
  • Whoever is not fasting he should abstain from Ekadashi day garlic, eggplant, onions, meat, liquor, tobacco and betel nut.
  • On the day of Ekadashi, one should not sleep on the bed but on the ground and do night awakening.
  • Day Sfila Ekadashi is considered taboo to Brush. Also, breaking the flowers and leaves of any tree plant on this day is considered inauspicious.
