When asked about the relationship with Virat, Urmila mentioned that Anushka’s father has been an army officer and during their stay in Bangalore, Karnesh Sharma (Anushka’s brother) used to play cricket with Virat and so the current captain used to come home with Karnesh.
According to Urmila, many a times when she used to go visit her grandkids in Bangalore, she would meet Virat. She says, ” Virat is a good child, he respects the elders”. Urmila even goes to say that the family has known Virat kohli since childhood and treats him as family even beofre the couple decided to marry in 2017.
