Shabri Jayanti 2022: All bout Shabri Mata and worship method

According to the Hindi calendar, every year in the month of Falgun, Shabri Jayanti is celebrated on the seventh day of Krishna Paksha.

This year in the month of Falgun, 23 February is Shabri Jayanti. Mata Shabari is worshiped along with Lord Shri Ram on this day.

It is a religious belief that Lord Shri Ram met Mata Shabari on the seventh day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Falgun in Treta Yuga.

On this occasion, the mother fed berries to Lord Shri Ram in the ashram as a welcome welcome.

At the same time, Lord Shri Ram had eaten berries with great fervor. The feeling of love was hidden behind feeding the leftovers.

Mata Shabari could not find anything to feed Lord Shri Ram in the ashram, so the mother ran away in the forest and came after picking a plum.

Now there was a taint in the mind of the mother that even berries are sour. For this, the mother herself used to eat plum. Then she used to feed Lord Shri Ram.

When Mata Shabri got sour berries, she did not give plum to God. Seeing this scene, Sheshnag Avatar Lakshmana was astonished.

This love feeling of God and devotee is unimaginable. Therefore, every year Shabri Jayanti is celebrated with great pomp. Come, know everything about Shabri Jayanti-

Shabri Jayanti 2022: Who was Shabri Mata

The name of Shabri, who belonged to the Bhil community, was Shramana. It is a legend that when Shabri became of marriageable age, his father and the king of Bhils arranged the marriage of Shabri to Bhil Kumar.

At that time the practice of sacrificing animals at the time of marriage was given, which Shabari strongly opposed and did not marry to end the practice of animal sacrifice.

There is another story with this as well. According to this story, being frustrated by the tyranny of her husband, Shramana left home and went to the forest.

In the forest, Shramana worshiped Lord Shri Ram, chanted and did penance. Later, during the exile, Lord Shri Ram and Mata Shabari met.

Worship method:

On this day, getting up at Brahma Bela, first of all remember Lord Shri Ram and Mata Shabari and do salutations. After this, clean the house and retire from daily work.

Now take a bath and meditate with the water containing Ganges water and wear new clothes.

After this, sanctify yourself after taking a vow and worship Lord Shri Ram and Mother Shabari with fruits, flowers, durva, vermilion, Akshat, incense, lamp, incense sticks etc.

It is written in religious texts that berries must be offered to Shabari Mata and Lord Shri Ram in the prasad. After that, pray for Aarti and good luck to your family.

Keep fast throughout the day and after performing aarti in the evening, eat fruit. On the next day, you break the fast after worshiping like a regular day.
