Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya has reportedly filed a divorce petition against her husband Ashwin Ramkumar after six years of their marriage.
According to multiple media reports, the couple has filed a petition for divorce in the family court after ‘irreconcilable differences’. Soundarya, who married Ashwin in 2010 after four year of courtship, has a year-old son called Ved.
Rajinikanth who returned to India after kidney transplant surgery, stayed with the couple for a long time in hope that the two would reconcile their differences. But it seems the couple is not in the mood of any reconciliation.
The buzz is that the couple had a difference of opinion for a long time. Yet, it is not clear what led to the ultimate break up between the two.
Soundarya is a graphic designer, who went on to direct India’s first motion capture film, Kochadaiiyaan, starring her superstar father while Ashwin is a Chennai based industrialist.
Soundarya is the one who made Rajinikanth meet director Pa Ranjith as later the two gave Tamil cinema’s biggest blockbuster Kabali.
