The online application process has been started by the South Central Railway to fill up 4,103 vacant posts in various apprentice trades like AC Mechanic, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrical/ Electronics, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Machinist, MMW, Painter and Welder.
The online registration process has already been started on November 9, 2019. Interested candidates who wish to apply for the posts can visit the website at scr.indianrailways.gov.in on or before December 8, 2019, till 11:30 PM.
As per the official notification, “The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board. And also possess ITI Certificate in the trade notified from the institutes recognised by NCVT/SCVT.”
Age limit:
Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and should not exceed 24 years of age.
Application fee:
Candidates have to make payment of Rs 100 for application fees.
Note: Female and reserved category are exempted from the payment of any application fee.
How to apply:
- Go to the official website, scr.indianrailways.gov.in
- Click on the link ‘ACT APPRENTICE – 2019 Online Application Registration’
- A new page will appear
- Enter the email address and click on send OTP
- An automated OTP will be sent to your registered email id
- Enter OTP and proceed
- Enter your mobile number to fill the online application form and click on send OTP
- Enter OTP and submit
- An application form will be displayed
- Fill in all the required details and upload documents
- Make requisite payment
- Download the form and take a print out for future use
