SpaceX sent a new group of Starlink internet satellites into low-Earth orbit on Thursday, October 5. The Falcon 9 rocket took off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. It was carrying 22 Starlink satellites.
Falcon 9’s first-stage booster, which is used for this mission, flew for the eighth time during today’s launch.
Before that, it launched CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, Intelsat IS-40e, and four Starlink operations. After the stages broke apart, the first stage arrived on the Atlantic Ocean-based Just Read the Instructions droneship.
