Stunning Photos Captured by Budget-Friendly Consumer Drones

Stunning Photos Captured by Budget-Friendly Consumer Drones: In recent years, commercial drones have hit the market and become increasingly popular. Photographers have put down their traditional cameras and taken to the skies to capture some truly incredible images.

Aerial photography has revolutionized the world. What was once the domain of the government is now available to everyone. A kite with an explosive charge attached to it in 1882 was the first photography drone. Drones today are a million times more advanced than what they were in 1882.

No matter if you are a pro or an amateur, drones are a great way to explore things from a different perspective. Drones can sell for thousands of dollars on sites like Amazon. Since technology is still advancing, pictures like these are just the beginning in this field.

1. Flock of Flamingos

  • Drone Used: Ryze Tech Tello Quadcopter
  • Cost: $89.99*

Those who have looked at too many memes will know that birds are indeed real if they see this done photo. There are few sights quite as striking as a flock of flamingos, but it is undisclosed which model the photographer used to capture this awe-inspiring shot.

For under $100, you can purchase a simple drone model that will take some mindboggling photographs if you’re an aspiring birdwatcher.

The Ryze Tech Tello Quadcopter is a great beginner drone because it is easy to control. It has an HD camera, two antennas, and long flight times. Ryze Technologies says even a “beginner” can control it easily.

2. The Fishing Net

  • Drone Used: Potensic T25 GPS Drone
  • Cost: $200-$250*

As seen from an aerial view, Trung Pham Huy’s beautiful photo, The Fishing Net, looks like a floating flower on the sea. The Fishing Net was taken during Vietnam’s anchovy fishing season. Although Huy’s drone of choice is unknown, the photo could be easily captured with a drone like the Potensic T25 GPS Drone because it is aquatic in nature.

Anchovy fishing in Vietnam has been featured in publications like the Vietnam Times, Daily Mail, and more, but for these hardworking fishermen, it is just another day at the office.

There are four stars on Amazon for the Potensic T25 drone. This drone has a 4.1/5-star rating. It has a 1080P HD live video camera. It has an adjustable wide-angle camera. The T25 has a “Return to Home” feature that means it will return to its starting point if the signal is lost.

3. Red Train

  • Drone Used: PowerVision PowerEye
  • Cost: $4,000*

This red train snaking its way through pure white snow-topped trees is one of the most visually appealing scenes I’ve ever seen. In order to get a shot like this, you would probably need a drone of high quality.

With a range of 5km and a speed of 40 miles per hour, the PowerVision PowerEye could easily get into position while you’re trying to get the best angle. This model also has interchangeable cameras, which shouldn’t be overlooked. And to think we used to make the most of Kodak disposables just a few decades ago.

As a result of its collapsible design, PowerVision PowerEye’s drone is easy to carry as it is foldable and light. In light of the beautiful photos that it is capable of taking, we’re surprised that the drone has a 3.1/5-star rating on Amazon.

4. Projects in Brooklyn, New York

  • Drone Used: DJI Phantom 3 Pro
  • Cost: $999*

While drone technology has advanced a little since then, it’s still a high quality machine capable of taking shots such as this. This is a photo from Brooklyn, New York taken with the DJI Phantom 3 Professional.

This clear as day view gives viewers insight into the strange shaped buildings and just how populated the public housing really is, even if you’re not a native New Yorker.

Marcy Houses alone house 4,286 people. Brownsville houses 25,000. Fun (if not amazing) fact: rapper Jay Z grew up in Marcy Projects. After becoming a billionaire rapper, he bought a 1.5% stake in the same projects.

5. Diamond Mine (Russia)

  • Drone Used: Hotbest Mavic Pro Clone
  • Cost: $43.99*

Another reason drones are great for photography is that they can help us reach heights we could never reach without airplanes or helicopters, but they are much more fuel efficient and affordable than airplanes or helicopters. This picture of a giant hole left from a diamond mine in Russia is a perfect example of a picture that no average human would be able to take without drone photography.

Despite not breaking the bank, the Hotbest Mavic Pro Clone will still leave your friends and family in awe. This incredible image of an abandoned diamond mine in Mir, Russia was probably taken by a different drone, but it has all the capabilities to do so. You can purchase it from Walmart or other similar retailers online.

You probably wouldn’t have been able to capture the Mir Mine photo without a drone since drones aren’t very safe. The Mirny Mine is an open pit mine in Siberia. It is 1,722 feet deep and over 3,900 feet wide at its opening, which is something you definitely don’t want to fall into.

6. Camel’s Shadow

  • Drone Used: DJI Mavic Air
  • Cost: $800*

With brilliant resolution, the DJI Mavic Air could have captured this still of a camel in a desert even before it was replaced by the DJI Mavic Air 2.

Honestly, if there weren’t a shadow on that photo, you wouldn’t notice the camel at all. It’s a simple scene that works great. You can almost feel the heat radiating from it.

Even in the scorching hot desert where this camel lives, the DJI Mavic Air would make an excellent drone for taking this photo. Air has a maximum flight range of 6.21 miles (no wind). It is able to tolerate winds up to 23MPH, which is pushing it, as desert winds average 28MPH.

7. Fishing Boat in Vietnam

  • Drone Used: DJI Mavic Mini
  • Cost: $450*

In spite of the DJI Mavic Mini’s small size, it packs a powerful punch. While the image has been heavily enhanced, it’s not unthinkable that a $450 drone could take a photo like this.

DP Review dubbed this drone “the tiny drone you want in your Christmas stocking”. It has all the quality of larger DJI models. Picture like this illustrates the beauty of everyday things. To us, it’s an artwork – but to the fisherman, it’s just another day at work.

This photo, though beautiful, could be one of millions. There are around four million people employed in Vietnam’s fishery industry. About 2.6 million are employed in aquaculture, including 1 million who fish for shrimp and 1.8 who fish marinely. As we said, this man likely just goes about his day at work, but it’s one of Vietnam’s most profitable industries.

8. Shark Next to Man

  • Drone Used: Parrot BeBop
  • Cost: $500*

A drone like the Parrot BeBop is under $500 but can still capture shocking pictures like this. Little did that man know when he was taking a casual swim that he was within just a few feet of a huge shark.

Even though drones are much further away than we are, they see a lot more than we are able to see. One mistake and the swimmer could have been shark bait.

It’s likely that he was fine. Sharks have a scary reputation, but they don’t really attack people. They prefer marine mammals and fish to humans. Despite the fact that sharks come in over 300 varieties, only a dozen are known to attack, and even those that do are only confused or curious.

9. Abandoned Water Park, Dubai

  • Drone Used: Autel Robotics EVO
  • Cost: $$1,049*

With four to five star reviews across the board, Autel has produced some great drones, including its slightly older EVO version. The picture of the abandoned water park could be the work of an Altar, with four to five star reviews across the board.

For urban explorers, getting some drone shots allows them to take things to the next level, without posing too much of a risk.

There will be a revival of this waterpark soon, so Urbex adventurers may want to steer clear of it. A $490 million renovation of the waterpark will include apartments, shops, a cultural center, restaurants, and more. Soon, drone photos of the waterpark will be full of people and life.

10. Parking Lot

  • Drone Used: DJI Phantom 3 Standard
  • Cost: $700*

This shot captures another side to a car park we never get to see because of the DJI Phantom 3. It is a little on the older side, but back when it was first released it had everything drone lovers were looking for, from stability to great shots.

From the sky, it shows just how tiny and insignificant we human beings appear. Finding a parking spot can be a nightmare, but do we ever realize just how many cars are around us? We might not have realized it before.

This drone is marketed by DJI as a “drone for beginners.” It is easy to fly, and it is a significant upgrade from its predecessor. The Phantom 3 has an integrated remote, a live HD view, a longer flight range, and is compatible with the DJI GO App. It has 4.5/5 stars on Google.
