Bring Your Youngster to the Library Day is celebrated yearly in libraries across the United States and Canada on the first Saturday of February, which falls on February 4 this year. We all recall the welcoming atmosphere and thrilling sensation of visiting the library as children. The vast majority of us learned the Dewey Decimal System through these encounters.

We commemorate Take Your Child to the Library Day to encourage the development of improved reading habits, to teach children about responsibility, and to engage with them and create lasting memories.
Take Your Child to the Library Day was founded by Nadine Lipman and Caitlin Augusta. Lipman came up with the concept as a pleasant approach to increase children’s attendance at local library programmes and services throughout the entire year. Since the holiday’s inception in 2011, countless libraries across the nation now participate.
