Tamil Nadu class 12th results: The Tamil Nadu school education department held Class 12th examinations for absentees on Monday, July 27, 2020. Out of 846 students who expressed interest to appear for the exam, 519 took the exam. Officials said the results will be released in the next two days.
Students have written chemistry, accountancy and geography exams. The government had made arrangements to screen them for temperature and provided them hand sanitizers. Invigilators ensured social distancing norms were followed.
For the 846 candidates, the school education department had arranged 293 exam centres in the state. “Of the 175 regular candidates, 147 wrote the exam and of the 672 private candidates, 372 appeared,” an official said.
Previously, the government announced that it will hold the exam for 34,864 absentees, but later on, it was found that only about 700 students were absent for just one exam and the rest of them were absent for all examinations.
