Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao met union home minister, Rajnath Singh on Tuesday, a day after 18 rebel AIADMK MLAs were disqualified under the anti-defection law.
The meeting lasted for 20-minute and the governor is believed to have briefed the home minister about the political developments in the southern state.
The disqualified MLAs had told the governor that they had no confidence in Tamil Nadu chief minister E Palaniswami. They also accused him of being corrupt on Monday.
Rao is holding an additional charge of Tamil Nadu. He is the governor of Maharashtra.
