Tata Safari 2021 unveiled, Bookings to start from February 4; Check specs, engine & other details

The new Tata Safari is based on omega architecture designed on Impact 2.0 design language. Omega Architecture has been taken from Land Rover's legendary D8 platform which has now been used in Tata Harrier.

Tata Safari unveiled: Tata Motors has unveiled its much-awaited 2021 Tata Safari in India. The SUV will be available for sale from February 4. The new Tata Safari is based on omega architecture designed on Impact 2.0 design language. Omega Architecture has been taken from Land Rover’s legendary D8 platform which has now been used in Tata Harrier.

Tata Safari: Engine & Specs

Talking about engines and power, the new Tata Safari is powered by a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The same engine has also been used in Tata Harrier. These engines are fully capable of generating maximum power of 170PS and a peak torque of 350Nm. If you talk of transmission, this engine can be paired with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT torque converter. The new Tata Safari has three different drive modes including Echo, City, and Sport. At the same time, the SUV also has a number of terrain response modes, including normal, wet, and rough.

The booking of the new Tata Safari 2021 will be launched in India from February 4. It is expected that the company can market it between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 2021 Tata Safari is available in the 6 variants including XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+. The 2021 Tata Safari has exterior features such as LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, rear spoilers, twin exhaust, stepped roof and chrome grille with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, Xenon HID projector headlamps.

Tata Safari: Interior

The cabin of the new safari is based on the Oyster White color scheme. The Ash Wood-themed dashboard looks quite premium. Customers can choose any of the options for a six-seater layout or intake seater configuration with captain’s seats in middle-row. Inside the 2021 Safari cabin, customers get an 8.8-inch floating island touchscreen infotainment system, 9-speaker JBL music system, instrument cluster with 7-inch display, automatic climate control with HVAC, 6 way powered driver seat and TPMS. 

Talking about safety features, customers are given 6 airbag setups, all 4 disc brakes, and electric parking brakes in the new safari. In addition, facilities like mood lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, and a panoramic sunroof are included in this metal SUV.
