New Delhi: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana has postponed the first and second-year D.El.Ed. exams that were slated to be held in the month of April 2020. However, it has now been postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The Directorate had scheduled the examinations from April 20 to May 2, 2020.
Therefore, all District Educational Officers, Principals of all Government DIETS, and Private colleges in the state have been informed regarding the decision.
The Diploma in Elementary Education (DPSE) examinations for 1st and 2nd-year students have also been postponed by the Directorate and the exams were scheduled from April 20 to May 2 as well.
No re-scheduled time table has been notified yet, hence it will be later notified on the Directorate’s official website, ‘bse.telangana.gov.in’.
Meanwhile, board exams across the nation have been postponed with education boards working out modalities to conduct necessary exams and promote students.
CBSE will not be conducting board examinations for the remaining papers and for class 12, it will hold exams only for the main subjects. Telangana Board has not made any such announcements or decisions yet.
Higher Educational Institutes have also delayed semester exams and are trying to conduct examinations online. Educational Bodies have also come up with various ways to carry on with the teaching activities such as virtual classrooms, e-learning resources and teaching apps.
