Ahead of Telangana assembly elections, Kodad MLA and wife of State Congress Chief, Padmavathi Reddy is campaigning in Kodad constituency of Suryapet district. In a recent interview with a new website, she claimed that, TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy deserves to be the Chief Minister of Telangana. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is a close aide of central leadership of party and his recent works in the state could provide him a big elevation in future, sources claimed.
Padmavathi told that, “Apart from being a wife, even if I analyse him politically, I think he’s a good person. He has done a lot. In his own track record, he has done a lot of development in his constituencies for the last 20 years that he has been an MLA. I think he deserves every bit of it and I would vote for him. Not as a wife, but as an MLA also.”
Telangana assembly polls which are scheduled for December 7, are witnessing a close competition, as Congress is leaving no stone unturned for battle and conversely, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is facing resentments over various issues. The undivided Andhra Pradesh was a stronghold of the Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s leadership has created a massive influence in Telangana.
