The Gentlemen Season 2: Netflix is bringing back The Gentlemen for a second season. The crime comedy from Guy Ritchie will return with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass. The first season came to Netflix on March 7, 2024, with eight episodes. Season 2 will also have eight episodes and is set to arrive on September 3, 2026.
The show is based in the same world as Guy Ritchie’s 2019 movie The Gentlemen. However, the Netflix series follows different main characters. Eddie is a young aristocrat who suddenly finds himself running a very different kind of family business.
The Gentlemen Season 2 Release Date and Story
Season 2 takes place one year after Eddie and Susie started working together in Bobby Glass’s criminal empire overseas. Their business has grown, but things are becoming harder to control. Bobby’s choices are also starting to look more dangerous.
Netflix says Eddie and Susie now have to decide whether they should make their own move or risk losing everything. The new season will take the story outside the English countryside and into Italy.

The new story will bring several fresh faces into Eddie and Susie’s world. Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellitto, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr. and Maya Jama are among the new cast members announced by Netflix.

Why will Season 2 be Darker?
Theo James has also said that the next season will not simply copy what worked in Season 1. He explained that the story needs more depth while keeping the humor that made the show popular.
“We start season two of The Gentlemen, which is bigger and darker than season one. […] As fun as the first season was, if you do the same thing again, it may not be as fun, essentially.
You want to be able to dive a little bit deeper in terms of character. It’s still a comedy and it’s still fun, but you need to layer it with more depth.”
