This new show, named “The Great Indian Kapil Show,” is similar to its predecessor in that it features celebrity interviews with various sketches.

The show marks Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s anticipated reunion. The two had separated in 2017, after an altercation during a flight from Australia led to speculation of a disagreement.

There are glimpses of celebrity guests in the trailer, including Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Ed Sheeran, Diljit Dosanjh, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and Shreyas Iyer. In contrast to previous iterations, these guest appearances aren’t tied to their upcoming projects.

A new episode of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” will premiere every Saturday on Netflix. Kapil Sharma has been a popular comedian since “Comedy Nights with Kapil” was first launched in 2013. A stand-up special titled “I’m Not Done Yet” was released on Netflix in 2022, sparking speculation about the possibility of his weekly show being moved to Netflix. The move was confirmed in 2023.
