Veteran journalist and Times Now’s managing editor, Navika Kumar has landed herself in a big trouble Friday night during a Newshour debate. The TV journalist has been condemned on social media after she made some ‘insensitive’ remark during a debate on Vande Mataram on late Friday evening.
The journalist has said a panelist that by bringing up the issues of death of 60 children due to negligence in government hospital in Gorakhpur, he is trying to divert from the ‘real issue.’ “The debate is on Vande Mataram, you are bringing up this issue because you are running away from ‘real’ issue,” she said.
Soon, the social media got flooded with reaction and has questioned how this journalist can be so insensitive and how Vande Mataram is a real issues and not the death of such large number of kids in a government hospital.
