Popular Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan has been blessed with a baby boy. The actress was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday, August 26. She visited South Kolkata’s Park Street area city hospital for a check-up early Wednesday morning.
Nusrat Jahan delivered the baby on Thursday (August 26) afternoon in a Kolkata hospital. Both Nusrat and her baby are doing fine.
Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta drove Nusrat to the hospital.

Prior to that, Nusrat had visited a hospital in Kolkata’s Park Street area for a check-up on August 25. As per recent reports, Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta was by Nusrat’s side at the hospital at the time of her delivery today.
Actress and politician Mimi Chakraborty took to Twitter to congratulate Nusrat Jahan for becoming a mother. “Congratulations @nusratchirps wish could hug in personal. Love and hugs (sic),” she wrote.

Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil Jain tied the knot in Turkey in a private wedding ceremony on June 19, 2019, after dating for a while. Earlier this year, Nusrat revealed that her wedding with Nikhil was not valid under Indian laws in a statement.
After winning the Lok Sabha Elections in 2019 on a TMC ticket, Jahan hosted a grand wedding reception at a five-star hotel in Kolkata which was attended by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee among other dignitaries. Nusrat issued the statement amid speculations of a rift in her marriage and reports that she was living separately and was pregnant.
