The official trailer of the satirical comedy movie, “Toliet: Ek Prem Katha” has finally been released.
The movies portray Akshay Kumar (Keshav) as a village bumpkin who gets married to fiery Bhumi Pednekar (Jaya). Inspired by Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Campaign, the movie underscores the importance of sanitation as its major theme. It focuses on the sanitation conditions of India which needs to be improved on an urgent basis.
The film well mirrors the mindset of people and their thinking over sanitation needs. However, Bhumi Pednekar stands as an epitome of bringing a change who compels Kumar to take on a political battle over sanitation rights.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the movie stars the polished actors of Bollywood like Anupam Kher and Rajesh Sharma.

Moreover, the lines of the movies are well interwoven with funny one-liners and serious statements at the end. It is well imbibed with an issue which is found to be very less talked in India. At the core of the movie lies a love story which late on develops into a much more serious concern of hygiene.
The movie has been using Twitter as its major promotional platform. Recently, Kumar tweeted a promo where he and Bhumi discussed the situation of India and its 50% of people not having toilets.
Where the plot revolves around the social context, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairperson, Pahlaj Nihalani, also praised the movie and said that it should be made tax free.
The film is supposed to hit the screens on 11 August 2017. It is yet to be seen that how well the message reaches every corner of the country and brings forth a change.
