Gujarat: 500 Metre area around Somnath, Ambaji Temples to be “Veg Zone”
On Friday, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while addressing people at a cultural event organised in Palanpur, Banaskantha declared that 500-metre area around Somnath and Ambaji temples as vegetarian zones.

500 crocodiles around Statue of Unity to be shifted for seaplane service
Gujarat forest department has started the process of shifting the crocodiles on the Sardar Sarovar Dam premises on the Narmada to make way for the seaplane service. This step has been taken to promote tourism at the statue of unity.
Magar Talav’, Pond 3 is filled with close to 500 mugger crocodiles and 15 of them have been already shifted last Tuesday despite the confusion of their release. Read more
Telangana: Elderly couple begs to pay bribe to official
An elderly couple had to resort to begging to get their rightful land back after years of struggle. According to reports, they were found begging along with placards hanging on their neck saying, the local tehsildar had demanded `1 lakh from them to give them passbooks to their land.
Lakshmi and Basavaiah stay in Azamnagar and has a land of 9 acres. The two had to kept running to get their plot which had been acquired illegally by a few villagers. Read more
