In a shocking incident that surfaced in Rajasthan’s Udaipur district, a bride was allegedly abducted by her ex-lover on Tuesday morning when she was returning home after wedding along with the groom.
The incident happened near Savina railway crossing under Hiranmagri police station area when the newlyweds, along with some relatives were going to the groom’s house in a vehicle.
The lover came along with some other men, stopped the vehicle and assaulted the groom. The car was damaged and the bride was kidnapped, said police.
On Monday night, the couple got married in the Titardi area. The bride Vinita Suthar had earlier eloped with the accused, Prayag Jeengar. Police said that the accused lives near the parental house of the groom and the efforts are on to find the accused and the bride.
However, it is not clear whether the bride eloped with the accused or was forcibly taken by the accused. The bride’s family claimed in the complaint that she was kidnapped. This is not the first time such type of incident has happened. This is second such case in Rajasthan within a month.
A similar incident surfaced in April, the bride was kidnapped by the lover when she was going to her husband’s house after the marriage. Later the police found them in Dehradun where they were planning to get married.
