UP: Mentally challenged man shoots bank security guard, waves gun as he dances on rooftop in Meerut

Police said that the man had started firing on Wednesday to play songs on the DJ.

After Kanpur shootout, a similar incident took place in UP’s Meerut where a mentally challenged man shot at a bank security guard Sudhir who was doing his duty at the Syndicate Bank, Khera village. The man after the incident flashed his firearms in air while dancing on the roof top.

The man is identified as Shripal who is said to be mentally ill.

The man was arrested on Wednesday who is seen in the video waving a gun on rooftop in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut near Sardhana emerged on social media. The man in a black shirt and grey pants – is seen dancing and brandishing a gun in the video that has gone viral.

The police reportedly said that the bullet was shot at the elbow of the guard and after that Sripal ran to the roof of the nearby house.

After the incident the bank employees surrounded him and reported it to the police. The police surrounded him for 2 hours and shot at his left leg and thus he was arrested right after that.

The guard who faced severe injury was admitted to the nearby hospital.

It is said that Sripal was arrested earlier for the same reason for firing at people. He have also shot a policeman in the past.

Police said that the man had started firing on Wednesday to play songs on the DJ. It was reported to the concerned police station, officers from Meerut also rushed to the spot. The police are now questioning Sripal. The man is said to be mentally ill.
