In yet another appalling incident of stray cattle attack in UP’s Kheri district, a raging bull gored a man to death in Tajpur village of Bheera area on Sunday night.

As per reports, in the month of May, this is the third person killed in stray cattle attack and sixth victim this year. Before tow person was killed by the stray cattle on May 7.

In the recent case, deceased Mohammed Rafeeq went out to attend nature’s call around midnight when a bull attacked him as per reports by his family. The kin of the deceased reached the place after hearing his cries and rushed him to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

A team of local police and officials were sent on the spot to probe. Rafeeq’s body was sent for autopsy and the family has assured about compensation wither under the state calamity act or farmer insurance scheme.

The SDM of the area said that the deceased’s body has been sent for autopsy as he has sustained injuries on his head and abdomen. Once the autopsy report will confirm that he was killed by a bull, a compensation proposal to the government will be sent. Also, a survey of the deceased family members have been done by the Lekhpal and the compensation will directly reach the account of actual beneficiary once it is approved.

The SDM also said that they would ensure all the stray cattle in the area would be shifted to the shelter houses at the earliest.
