Uri box office collection Week 5: Vicky Kaushal starrer smashed Baahubali 2 records

Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike continues its phenomenal run at the box office collections in its fifth week of release. Uri has been continuously smashing box office records held by other movies and in the process, Uri has successfully smashed the weekend 5 box office collection record held by Baahubali 2.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has already crossed Rs 200 crore mark in its 4 weeks of release and the movie is not at all showing any signs of slowing down at the box office collections as it smashed the fifth Saturday box office collection record held by Baahubali 2 as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

He wrote, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike is on a record-smashing spree… Witnesses a phenomenal 115.96% growth on [fifth] Sat, which is more than double of #Baahubali2 [₹ 2.25 cr]… [Week 5] Fri 2.13 cr, Sat 4.60 cr. Total: ₹ 207.13 cr. India biz. #Uri #HowsTheJosh.”

Earlier Taran Adarsh mentioned that Uri has surpassed Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju to become the highest grossing film in terms of the fourth-week box office collections and now he mentioned its record-breaking collection at the box office as compared to Baahubali 2: The conclusion’s collection on Day 28, 29 and 30 of its release.

Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal as major Vihaan Singh Shergill, Paresh Rawal as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, while Yami Gautam portrays the role of an intelligence officer, sheds light on the numerous terrorist attacks that took place on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC), which eventually prompted the government to plan the surgical strikes. Uri, based on the Indian military’s cross border operation, has been received well by the audience and film fraternity.
