Basti: Aditya Narayan Tiwari Kabir, former president of APN PG College Student Union, Basti was shot at during broad daylight hours in the Agarwal Bhawan, Malviya road.
Following the incident, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition remains critical. He was referred to Lucknow for further treatment.

Reportedly, the incident occurred when two youth riding on a bike reached the Agarwal Bhawan, one of them fired a shot at Kabir. The two accused were nabbed by the people present at the scene. Later police arrived and since then have been trying to calm the situation.
