The nephew of Dinesh Sharma, Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister was robbed by unidentified miscreants in Lucknow on Thursday night. Bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched the mobile phone of the nephew. A case has been registered by the victim, Yogendra Sharma at the Vibhuti area police station.

After receiving the complaint, on the direction of DGP, ADG LO spoke to the commissioner. After the news broke out, checking operation continued till late night in the capital city.

According to the reports, the mobile phone could not be recovered yet.

Deputy CM’s nephew Yogendra Sharma is a Navy officer. The incident took place near Kathouta lake in the city where he went to meet a friend. On his way back, his mobile was snatched by bike-borne miscreants.

There has been an alarming rise in mobile phone snatching in India. Early in March, Puducherry Education Minister, R Kamlakannan’s mobile phone was snatched by unidentified bike-borne miscreants as he was taking a stroll along a Beach Road.
