In a daring loot in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, two bike-borne assailants struck at a jewellery shop and shot dead the owner of the shop before fleeing with 5 kilograms silver ornaments and Rs 10 lakh cash.
The owner of the Bhagmal Jewellers has been identified as Aman Jain, according to a report in Hindustan.
The shop is located at Jagriti Vihar in the Medical Police station sector 2 area of Meerut. The showroom was attacked by masked miscreants at about 1 PM. The miscreants who rode on bikes carried out the incident. On opposing the looting, Aman was shot.
The injured Aman was taken to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment. No clue of the miscreants has yet been found by the police.
Jagriti Vihar has been announced to close immediately in protest against the incident, as per the reports
