Valentine’s Day 2019: Bajrang Dal set to deploy 250 activists to shoot videos of couples in Dehradun

Bajrang Dal members are planning to shoot videos of couples involving in “obscene activities” in public in Dehradun on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Videos of harassers as well as stalkers will also be shot after which it will be submitted to police.

Reportedly, the organisation has plans of deploying as many as 250 activists across Dehradun. “When we approach police, people deny what we allege and instead claim that we harassed them. Hence, we will make videos and submit it as evidence. We will not harass random couples but only those who engage in obscenity in public,” Vikas Verma, convenor of Dehradun unit shared with the media company.

Verma further added that the faces of the couples caught would be blurred so that the clips do not get misused.

Meanwhile, SP (city) Shweta Chaubey told TOI that the police would not allow anyone to harass or shoot intimate videos of couples.

In Pune, Bajrang Dal had told that the outfit would not use violence against couples celebrating Valentine’s Day and instead counsel them.
