The filmmaker and a former associate of acclaimed Kollywood director, Venkat Pakkar of Shankar 2.0, is no more. The youngster was killed in a tragic road accident early on Friday in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore. AV Arun Prasath was to debut with GV Prakash’s much-delayed 4G.
The yet-to-be-released movie was to see him get introduced to the Tamil film industry as Venkat Pakkar.
As per early reports, the youngster was motorcycle-bound when the accident took place. His vehicle was rammed into by a lorry. More details about the incident are awaited.

Prakash, the film’s hero, took to Twitter to condole the death of his director. “I am extremely saddened by the demise of my dear friend Venkat Pakkar, a friendly human who was always positive-minded. My sincere condolences to his friends and the bereaved family. I pray to God for him. May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote (as translated from Tamil).

It was in 2016 that 4G was announced. Starring AR Rahman’s nephew (GV Prakash) as the male lead and Gayathri Suresh as the female lead, it is produced by CV Kumar. The project had been getting delayed for years before its shoot was stalled due to the lockdown.
It was on May 13, popular comedian Michael Madhu of the Kannada film industry passed away after suffering from a heart attack. Bullet Prakash, Ravi Vallathol are some of the other popular actors from south who recently passed away.
