VITEEE 2020: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the exam dates for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2020 amid lockdown. The entrance examination for BTech courses at the institute will be conducted from July 29 to August 2.
Among the engineering entrance exams in India, VITEEE received the highest number of applications. The first is the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister announced earlier that the JEE Main examination will be held from April 18 to April 23.
VITEEE-2020 will be conducted in 124 cities in three different time slots. The exam will consist of objective type questions (MCQ), which includes mathematics or biology, physics, chemistry, English and Aptitude. There will be four marks for each question, and there will be no negative marks for the wrong questions.
Every year, VITEEE is held in April. This year, the exam has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic including many other national level entrance exams. The previous year, a total of 1.63 lakh candidates applied for the entrance exam.
After qualifying the exam, candidates will be called for counseling sessions. VIT offers scholarships for students.
Last year, topper from the state and central boards received a 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire four-year program. People who hold 1 to 50 in VITEEE will also get a fee waiver.
