Want to get verified account on Instagram? Follow these steps

A verified badge is a blue seal with a little checkmark that appears next to your username. The little blue tick is also a status symbol. If you have a blue badge on Instagram you must be somebody notable. That’s why getting Instagram verified is a major milestone for growing accounts.

However, you can apply for Instagram verification with either a personal account or a business account. But to apply for the verified badge, one must be a public figure, celebrity or brand and meet certain eligibility requirements.

Here are the steps you need to follow to request a verified badge for your profile:

Step 1: Login in to your account by entering your user Id and password.

Step 2: Go to your profile and tap on the menu (three horizontal lines)

Step 3: After that click on settings.

Step 4: A new page will appear here tap account, then tap Request Verification.

Step 5: On the new page you need to enter your full name and provide the required form of identification (example: government-issued photo ID).

Step 6: After entering all the details tap on Send.

Your request has been sent successfully but keep in mind that even if your account is eligible for verification, submitting a request doesn’t guarantee that your account will be verified.

Note: Instagram will never request payment for verification or reach out to ask you to confirm your verification.

What happens after you apply for verification?

After you request a verified badge. Instagram will review your request, you’ll receive a notification by Instagram letting you know that your account has been verified or not. If your request is denied by Instagram, you can submit a new request after 30 days.

Instagram can remove verified badges at any time, and may always disable your account if you do:

  • Advertise, transfer or sell your verified badge.
  • Use your profile picture, bio or name section to promote other services.
  • Attempt to verify your account through a third party.

If your Instagarm account doesn’t have a verified badge, you can follow the other ways to let people know that you’re authentic. For example, you can link to your Instagram account from your official website, Facebook Page, YouTube or Twitter account.
