India’s fastest sprinter Dutee Chand has revealed her interest s of joining politics. In her Twitter handle, the athlete said that it has been her childhood wish to join politics.

“I have always wanted to join politics since childhood. My family has also been involved in grassroots politics, with my mother being the SARPANCH of our village,” said Chand.

Dutee, considered as the fastest woman of the country, holds the national record for the 100m sprint. She aims at reaching the finals of the women’s 100m dash at World Championships starting in Doha on September 27 with a personal best timing. She will leave for Doha on September 25.
