Western Railway: Indian Railways has expanded the operation of special trains on some lines in order to provide better passenger services. Sumit Thakur, chief public relations officer for Western Railway, claims that eight pairs of special trains operating on special fares have had their running times increased. In order to accommodate passenger demand, the decision was made prior to the holiday season (Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali, and others). It is to be noted that travelers can now purchase tickets online.
