Design and Display: The Xiaomi Smart Band 8’s 1.6-inch AMOLED display maintains its streamlined appearance. It has a vibrant display with an Always-On Display (AOD) mode and is water-resistant up to 50 metres, making it suitable for swimming and other activities.
Unlike previous models, the Band 8 features adaptable fittings to accommodate a variety of strap options, including leather, woven leather, hollow bracelets, and TPU straps. It can also be affixed to shoelaces or worn as a pendant with a compatible necklace accessory.
The Smart Band 8 has a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, and menstrual cycle monitor for female users. Additionally, it measures stress levels and provides VO2 Max data. Specialised modes, such as Interactive Boxing Mode and Running Beam Mode, provide specific information for particular activities. With support for more than 150 sports modes, it is suitable for a vast array of fitness enthusiasts.
In addition to fitness monitoring, the Band 8 includes built-in games for relaxation, such as Sudoku and 2048. It serves as a notification centre, disseminating weather updates and other vital alerts.
Xiaomi asserts that, with AOD disabled, the Band 8’s 190mAh battery can last up to 16 days on a single charge
