Year Ender 2019: From Kalank to Housefull 4, here are the disastrous Bollywood movies

Another Bollywood year has passed and it was another milestone in the history of Indian cinema. Films come and go, but what stays with us are the good ones.

While it was a successful year for Bollywood as many of the movies made a good box office collection and also there were critically acclaimed movies. But on the contrary, there were some disastrous movies which sank at the box office badly.

As we draw closer to the New Year celebrations, here’s looking at the disastrous Bollywood movies in 2019:

Total Dhamaal

This multi-starrer that failed to impress the audience. Based loosely on the 1963 Hollywood film ‘It’s Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World’, the film was almost unbearable. Despite starring Javed Jaffrey, Arshad Warsi, and Ajay Devgn, the film failed to keep the audience intact.

Jabariya Jodi

After getting delayed for multiple times, the film was finally released on August 9. Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer were based on Bhagwa Vivah in Bihar but the story couldn’t make its way to the heart of the people.

Marjaavaan

The makers tried to recreate the angry young man of the 80s– Amitabh Bachchan but forgot that Sidharth Malhotra is no Big B. Despite good music tracks in the film, the movie couldn’t reach out to the people. The glorifying dialogues in the movie too couldn’t work in their favor.

Kalank

Karan Johar’s blunder project of the year indeed portrayed lavish sets but it couldn’t make a good storyline. The movie which was a multi-starrer and a good budget film were not so good at the box office.

The Accidental Prime Minister

The film is a biographical drama directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte featuring Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna, and Aahana Kumara. In the film, the descent of a big political party, warns his mother of consequences. If she does not get her act right in two weeks. The movie went by its name as it was indeed accidental.

Housefull 4

The multi-starrer by Sajid Nadiadwala featuring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, and Neil Nitin Mukesh seemed to lack a clue about what they were doing in the movie. The dragged and rubbish comedy was a reason the film went into so much controversy for its box office collection.
