The apex court raised questions over why Justice Varma did not contest the inquiry panel’s findings when they were initially presented.
Representing Varma, senior advocate Kapil Sibal argued that the panel’s recommendation for Varma’s removal is unconstitutional and could set a concerning precedent. The hearing on this matter is currently ongoing.
