Hazaribagh: As many as 15 elephants rampaged through the house of Jayant Sinha, city’s MP and Minister of State for Civil Aviation under the Modi government.

The herd of elephant broke the wall boundary and entered the house causing havoc for at least an hour. The workers employed under Sinha shared their ordeal. They said that a herd of around 15 elephants entered the house premises late Tuesday night, eventually destroying the crops.

One staff with a sigh of relief said that “we were praying to the God to somehow save us.” Another one said, “the children were terrified, they were saying that it could be our last day.”

The employees are currently jittered by the incident and have locked themselves inside their rooms. Jayant Sinha’s residence is situated at a jungle, 10 km outside the city.

The passage that the herd used to enter Rishabh Vatika is close to the quarter where the workers live with their families. Fortunately, no casualties took place.
