An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter Scale hit Ladakh region on Saturday. The tremors were felt at 5:11 am, said National Center for Seismology.
However, there were no reports of casualties or any damage to properties as of now. Notably, this was the third earthquake that has hit the region in a fortnight.
Kashmir is situated in a highly earthquake-prone region and temblors have wrought destruction here in the past.
