In a bizarre incident, a drunk man was booked after kissing a police official during Bonalu festival celebrations in Hyderabad.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows a group of people dancing on the road and suddenly one man hugs and kisses a police official passing by, and the policeman immediately pushes him aside and slaps him.
Police said that the arrested man appeared to be in an inebriated condition. He informed that a case had been registered against the accused for obstructing a policeman under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code.
Bonalu festival is a monsoon folk festival celebrated to worship Goddess Mahankali. To mark the day, devotees across Telangana take out processions. Saturday marked the first day of the festival.
