Badhaai Do, the second installment of Ayushmaan Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho will kick-start its shooting in January 2021. This time, method actor Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar has been roped in as the lead roles of the film.
Bhumi Pednekar took to Twitter to make the announcement of its filming on Sunday.

Director of the film, Harshavardhan Kulkarni, who helmed Hunterrr in 2015, said Times of India, “I am super excited to be a part of this franchise. Family comedies are evergreen and the idea is to create wholesome entertainment that can be enjoyed with the entire family. Our pre-production work is in full swing and we will start filming in January.”
According to several media reports, Rajkummar will be seen as a cop and Bhumi in the role of a PT teacher in their first movie together as lead roles. It is penned by Suman Adhikary and Akshay Ghildial, who also wrote the dialogues of Badhaai Ho.
Junglee Pictures has had an excellent track record of producing content-driven, successful films, which include Talvar, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Raazi and Badhaai Ho. And now, with Badhaai Do, the team is ready to surprise the audience yet again.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer ‘Badhaai Ho’ was released on October 19, 2018. The film also had noted actor Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao who played the roles of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant.
